Bath is known around the world as one of the best places to visit in England. Its countryside is picturesque and can leave one at a loss for words. It has been designated as World Heritage Site and is conveniently located, being only 100 miles west of London. Main attractions include its hot springs, Roman baths, and the Abbey. This Christmas, Bath has a lot more to offer visitors from everywhere.

Bath Christmas Market

Bath is most famous for its Christmas Market that is held every year in a wide space in between the Abbey and the Roman Baths. Shop to your heart’s content at the Christmas Market, which has around 123 wooden chalets – each one constructed in the traditional manner. Each of the shops the Christmas Market has its own unique array of offerings. From gift items (many of them hand crafted) to decorations to food – you will certainly find what you are looking for to celebrate your Christmas.

More than the shopping, the Christmas Market has a lot to offer in terms of entertainment. Enjoy the sounds of Christmas as you shop – choirs at the Abbey sing Christmas carols all day long. Indulge your senses with the scent of mulled wine and cinnamon and other spices wafting from the various shops. You can also watch street entertainers as they show off their prowess in musical performances and other shows.

The Christmas Market runs from 29 November to 9 December of this year.

Pulteney Bridge and Argyle Street Christmas Event

Visitors to Bath will enjoy the third annual Christmas Event on the 6th of December this year as they indulge in a wide variety of international cuisine ranging from Indian, Himalayan, French, Italian, and British. There will also be sporting events featuring both the men’s and women’s rugby Bath teams. There will also be other games and events for both children and adults.

Shires Yard at Milsom Place Chocolate Festival

Chocolate lovers need not go further than Bath. This year, on the 12th of December, the regions best chocolatiers will be converging in Bath to give visitors a taste of the best. This is an event that any decent chocolate lover cannot afford to miss.

Christmas at Claverton

With the theme of Christmas Jewels, the American Museum is certainly set to awe its guests with their exhibits. Running from 24 November to 16 December, the Museum has an array of activities for both children and adults. They are closed on Mondays.
